Resident (70) makes Christmas special for the needy

The 70-year-old has been using some of her pension money and sponsorship gained over the years to provide gifts and food to the elderly over Christmas, Mother’s and Father’s Day.

Deneys Conradie resident Elizabeth (Rogeny) Rajoo ensures that those around her enjoy a memorable festive season by serving a warm lunch in celebration of Christmas.

The 70-year-old has been using some of her pension money and sponsorship gained over the years to provide gifts and food to the elderly over Christmas, Mother’s and Father’s Day.

On December 6, she held a lunch for the fifth year and invited all the residents of Deneys Conradie.

Some of the residents could not attend, but Rajoo ensured they received a gift and a food parcel.

Apart from providing meals and gifts, she also receives a sponsorship of vegetables that she hands out.
