SPCA thanks public for Cheer Fund generosity

“From the committee, staff and especially the animals of the organisations, we wish to say a huge thank you to all our supporters who contributed to our Christmas Cheer Fund,” Wooldridge concluded.

The Benoni SPCA officially closed its Christmas Cheer Fund with a total of R73 311 on January 15.

All monies collected towards the fund from October 15 to January 15 will go towards building a puppy nursery.

Chairperson of the organisation Diane Wooldridge said that she cannot stress enough how generous the public and businesses in Benoni have been.

“It is because of these donations that we can help the animals of Benoni through our amazing staff and the law.

“We are going to start getting quotes for the puppy nursery now that we have a final figure.”

The organisation hasn’t, however, reached its R100 000 target and Wooldridge is urging the public to continue supporting the organisation through:

• Monetary donations

• Sponsoring a kennel monthly

• Using the Benoni SPCA as a beneficiary on the My School card system.

The public can also contact the organisation on 011 894 2814 for more options.

“From the committee, staff and especially the animals of the organisations, we wish to say a huge thank you to all our supporters who contributed to our Christmas Cheer Fund,” Wooldridge concluded.
