No identification yet on decapitated body

The Putfontein police are still searching for the family of the man who was found decapitated near Vermeulen Street in Putfontein on November 29.

The man is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old.

Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Sgt Raider Ubisi said the deceased had the word “Gadaffi” tattooed on his left arm and he was found naked and slightly burnt in some areas.

“We urge anyone searching for missing family members to come to the station,” he said.

The unidentified body is at the Springs mortuary.
