This little superstar was also one of the few selected to attend the International Model and Talent Association 2020 competition in New York City, which was scheduled for July 17 last year.
Chrissy de Beer (9), a learner at Ridgewood College in Benoni, recorded her first song called High 5 that she wrote herself, and since then it has been released to the world.
The song was released on January 22 and has hit all online platforms.
“Chrissy has performed her song live at Silverstar Casino, Krugersdorp and at Cabana Beach Resort, Umhlanga, during the December holiday,” said proud mom Tasha de Beer.
“It was an amazing performance as the crowd started singing and dancing with her.”

Chrissy is already working on her second song.
“This song will be about feeling good about yourself and accepting you for who you are,” said Chrissy.
Recording the first song proved difficult due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
“It took four two-hour Zoom sessions and two five-hour sessions to record, with a lot of practise in between,” explained Tasha.
This little superstar was also one of the few selected to attend the International Model and Talent Association 2020 competition in New York City, which was scheduled for July 17 last year.
The competition was then postponed due to the pandemic.
She was chosen to take part in not only one, but four of the categories: singing, dancing, acting and modelling.

“If Covid will allow, Chrissy will be going to New York City on July 15,” said Tasha.
“She was recently only entered into four categories but will also now participate in the songwriting category.”
Chrissy’s plans were affected by Covid-19 daily, but she decided to take it day-for-day and to make the best of each day.
“Chrissy attended online industry-related workshops from her agency, 33andMe Talent Agency, and she participated in online modelling competitions, Allegretto Eisteddfod,” Tasha explained.
“She also mastered her self-tape skills and kept practising and attending her modern dancing, ballet, singing and drama classes.”
The newest exciting news that Chrissy could give us was that she has recently launched her own branded merchandise.
“I have T-shirts, tank tops, leggings, cycle shorts, caps, and key chains, and am very excited to have so much happening in my life that is exciting,” concluded Chrissy.
Her merchandise will soon be available to purchase online at www.chrissyjdebeer.com
