Art comes alive at Northmead Square
About 15 AWT artists exhibited their work, including Paul Botes, Elaine Marx, and Jackie Bekker.
Members of Benoni Art Route and Artists Working Together (AWT) hosted an exhibition showing their art, covering a wide range of subjects, from March 18 to 22.
About 15 AWT artists exhibited their work, including Paul Botes, Elaine Marx, and Jackie Bekker.
On March 21, Tebogo Ledwaba did a live drawing demonstration for the shoppers.
The public was able to purchase the pieces that were on display.

The lucky winner of the competition was Lucien Vorster, who won a month’s free tuition with a Benoni art teacher and a hamper with art materials.
The winner of the favourite artist competition winner was Kathryn Saleem and the artist was Pam Selkirk.
Marx said the art competition was to encourage children to start learning art at a young age.
“The exhibition is an opportunity for families to experience art because we don’t have many art galleries anymore,” said Marx.
Marx said they made several sales over the past five days and they are thankful to everyone who supported them.
