The drive took place on April 3 between 9am and 4pm.
Terrance Pillay, donor relations practitioner and SANBS spokesperson, said that they organised the drive to secure sufficient blood for patients in need.

“SANBS is also in a national crisis and this partnership had allowed us to increase collections and blood stocks during the Easter break,” he said.
“The event was arranged in partnership with the park owners, Calvin and Ashlynn Tuniz.
“SANBS target was 50 units and we collected 62. We hope that in the months to come we can build this database and increase our collections to 100 units each visit.
“This will make a huge difference in the blood supplier within our area.”
