The 1st Benoni Sea Scout Group recently opened a Meerkat Den for children aged between five and seven.
“Once the children turn seven, they go up to Cubs and then follow on to Scouts at age 11,” said Mike Weeks, district commissioner East Rand District.
“The Meerkat Den is run at the 1st Benoni Sea Scout Hall from 5pm to 6pm every Friday during government school terms.”
The next get-together will take place on May 7.
