Willie celebrates 90 years of life

Benonian Willie Meyer celebrated his 90th birthday on July 17 and is grateful to his wonderful family who has taken good care of him.

The 90-year-old is a father to three biological children, four stepchildren, a grandfather to 11 and a great-grandfather to two children.

Having worked for the Water Works Department in Council for over 37 years, Meyer’s fondest memories would be braaing with his colleagues on a Friday afternoon.

While he still enjoys playing golf and bowls, he said he is blessed to still have good health and strive to continue living a carefree life.
