The Ferreira family is grateful to all who bought raffle tickets as they raised R27 000 through the fund-raiser that will be used to cover the six year old’s medical expenses.
The City Times recently published an article about the Bredell family who held a raffle competition to pay for their special needs son’s medical expenses.
Marius was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and microcephaly.
People came out in their numbers to show their support.
Rochelle (Marius’s mother) said that the money will be used to pay for his monthly expenses which cost up to R3000.
“We also need to see the orthopedic surgeon and later in the year we have to see his neurologist.”
The family would also like to congratulate the following prize winners;
• First prize: Debbie du Plooy (four-night holiday at San Lameer)
• Second: Jolene du Preez (R500 gift voucher at Beauty on the Go)
• Third: Vassie West (biltong hamper)
• Fourth: Renette Bindemann (hair products from Daphne’s hair salon)
• Fifth: Sarie Hattingh (biltong knife)
“We’re going to do another fund-raiser for him. Anyone that’s interested can follow his Facebook page, Helping Baby Marius,” she said.
