TSA uses donations to help others

The Salvation Army (TSA) Benoni, based in Howard Avenue, is grateful for the donations received and hopes it too is making a difference in the lives of others.
Our soup kitchen carries on throughout the year – as long as we have the means to keep it going,” said Antonette Grobler, TSA’s assistant centre manager.
“However, it always needs tinned foods, bread, maize, vegetables, meat, soup bones, margarine, toiletries, toilet paper, linen, pillows, blankets, tea, coffee, powder milk and foam cups, to name but a few.
“The public is really amazing and special to us. We are truly thankful for each one who has helped us over the years.”

“We accept all kinds of donations, including clothing, furniture and household goods. What we can’t use for our residents and homeless people we send down to our Thrift Shop on the corner of Howard Avenue and Rothsay Street,” Grobler explained.
“This helps to generate income to keep the centre doors open.”
