Hospice raffles BCT cake

Hospice has the one tier cake in their Rynfield charity shop at 17D Waterson Street where those who are interested in buying a raffle ticket can look at the cake before buying it.

The City Times celebrated our 100th birthday on September 10 and what sweeter way to do that than with a 20kg cake.

Two of the beautiful three-tier cake was donated to organisations; one of which is Hospice East Rand that will be raffling it off.

The brandied fruitcake was baked by Tania Riley, of Cake Arts, Farrarmere.

Hospice has the one tier cake in their Rynfield charity shop at 17D Waterson Street where those who are interested in buying a raffle ticket can look at the cake before buying it.

“The draw will take place on October 29,” said marketing and media liaison, Jonquil Siepman.

“Each ticket is R10 and all that is required is the name and contact details of the entrant.”

Siepman said the monies raised will be used towards patients who cannot afford some of their treatments.

While entrants are at the shop, Siepman said they can also grab their MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card which is another way to support Hospice as they are a beneficiary.
