Daveyton resident crowned Miss St Francis Care Centre

Carlos Figueira from Alberton was crowned Mr St Francis Care Centre.

Daveyton resident Neo Ramthore was crowned the first Miss St Francis Care Centre Africa at the organisation’s fund-raising pageant that took place on December 4 at the St Francis Care Centre in Boksburg.

The first-ever Mr and Miss St Francis Care Centre Africa beauty pageant, organised by Mrs Universe South Africa finalist Phumzile Ntshabele raised R6 750 for the organisation.

Ntshabele said when the former marketing manager of the St Francis Care Centre approached her with the idea, she didn’t hesitate to come on board as it was for a good initiative.

“Though we faced some hiccups along the way, I am glad we managed to pull through.”

Carlos Figueira from Alberton was crowned Mr St Francis Care Centre.

The manager of the St Francis Care Centre, Tilly Brouwer, said they were happy to see that the centre has young people who would speak on behalf of the children at the centre and raise awareness of the scourge of child abuse in communities.
