Illegal dumping continues despite clean-up efforts

We all have a commitment and responsibility to keep our open spaces clean and safe.

Following a successful clean-up of illegal dumping on Railway Avenue, Western Extension in February, the City of Ekurhuleni under the Multi-Party Coalition’s ‘Back-to-Basics’ service delivery is dismayed that the area is once again littered with mounts of rubbish.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Ekurhuleni calls on the community of to refrain from illegal dumping. Residents are urged to make use of nearby mini dumpsites and transfer stations in Northmead and Actonville, as well as the larger dumpsite of Weltevreeden, to dispose of their waste.

Incidents of illegal dumping must be reported to the call centre on 0860 543 000.
