Join Young Innovation Suk’efentsini this coming Saturday for a fun run

World Health Day is celebrated annually on April 7.

In commemoration of World Health Day, residents of Daveyton are invited to attend a health run on April 2, at Sigalo Park. 

The health event, which is organised by Mthandazo Ganiswa and Tsholofelo Mashigo of Young Innovation Suk’efentsini will start at 09:00 to 17:00.

According to Mashigo, participants will participate in a 5km or 10 km run as well as other activities, including netball, tennis and soccer.

“We decided to host it on Saturday because it is in accordance with the health week.

“The programme is not only about a health run, but also about promoting unity among Daveyton residents,” said Mashigo.

Ganiswa said anyone from any age group is invited to participate in the activities free of charge.

World Health Day is celebrated annually on April 7 to mark the founding of World Health Organisation (WHO), and each year draws attention to a specific health topic of concern. It is celebrated to raise awareness about the overall health and well-being of people across the world.
