BFS records more successes.

During weekend operations, from April 14 to 18, the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) arrested six suspects on charges of drug possession.

The arrests took place in Curry and Goods Roads, Brakpan, Ivory Park Extension 10, Madiba Drive, Winnie Mandela and Vusi Musi Section, Thembisa.

Mandrax, crystal methamphetamine, nyaope, dagga and rocks were confiscated in these separate incidents.

BFS members also recovered three abandoned vehicles.

A Volkswagen Polo that was reported as hijacked was found in the same area, in Opportunity Street, Ivory Park.

A white Toyota Corolla that was stolen in Kempton Park was recovered in André Gryvenstein Road, Isando.

A silver Toyota Hilux was found in Republic Road, Ivory Park, it was also reported as hijacked in the area.
