Maintenance may affect water supply

Supply should be restored by July 9

Maintenance work at the Mapleton pump station, undertaken by Rand Water may lead to low water pressure as well as service interruptions in Benoni, Daveyton Etwatwa as well other supply areas.

According to Zweli Dlamini, spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni metro, maintenance work has been completed and the pump station is fully operational.

“Water to all the affected reservoirs are currently being restored and water supply is expected to stabilise by late afternoon on July 9,” he said.

“We will continue to monitor the restoration of supply and provide water tankers where necessary. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

• Hillcrest

• Benoni AH

• Cloverdene

• Chief Albert Luthuli

• Daveyton

• Mayfield

• Etwatwa

• Sallies Village

• Vulcania

• Ergo (Mkhancwa)

• Maryvlei

• Withok

• Witpoortjie

• Sun Air Park as well as Brenthurst

• Kwa-Thema

• Tsakane all extensions

• Langaville all extensions

• Geluksdal all extensions

• Labore
