Letter: Let’s be patient with newly elected officials

In response to the letter by ‘Enough’ in the City Times, July 29, which is addressed to our current mayor, I would like to ask were you not at the meeting at the Benoni Northerns Sports Club, on July 14, when residents were addressed by the various council members?
A meeting which I must add was very poorly attended, especially by the younger generation, considering the amount of people residing in Benoni.
It’s time people realise that the DA are doing their level best to help us but there is no money in the coffers.
We all know where it has gone.
Please give our mayor a chance, she has not been in that post very long.
