Anns are digging deep to find beautiful gardens

Garden entries close mid-October

Time is running out for local green thumbs and gardening aficionados to register their private garden oasis for the Benoni van Ryn Rotary Anns 23 annual Beautiful Gardens route.

This must-attend event will take place at the end of January 2023, which will see seven local host gardens opened to ticket holders for an exclusive two-day-only tour.

The route will also include a picturesque tea garden, where delicious delights, prepared by the Anns, will be available to enjoy.

The Beautiful Gardens tour forms part of the organisation’s core fundraising initiatives and has in previous years welcomed up 1 300 guests from across the East Rand.

Entries for host gardens are now open and the organising committee is looking to feature spaces that not only boast a variety of plants and blooms but also have distinguishing features.

Gardens may be small or large, modern or classic, alternatively crowned with cascading water features.

For more information or to volunteer your garden contact Maria Pinho on 082 390 8606 or Cheryl Jennings on 083 555 6730.
