Support All Souls market as it feeds the needy

Support the church market on October 29

Rain or shine without fail, volunteers of the All Souls Church in Northmead offer food and nourishment to more than 40 recipients daily.

This is done under the auspices of the church’s Buyani House project.

The project has been running for the past 15 years, feeding the poor and hungry with freshly prepared food received from donations.

David Maziz has been frequenting the project for the past year as he continues to look for work within the paving industry.

“When I am low on hope, I come here to get food as I don’t always have money,” he said.

Three men receive a prepacked meal from Melody Thomas, one of the volunteers at the All Souls’ Buyani House project.

“Receiving a meal and being able to sit with others who are in a similar situation not only feeds the hunger in my stomach but my soul as well.”

To raise much-needed funds for the project, the All Souls Church will be hosting a handmade craft fair on October 29 from 08:00 at the church grounds.

Home-made items such as jams, sewn and knitted creations, jewellery as well as art will be on sale.

Support the project for it to continue supporting those in need.
