Members of the Benoni Flying Squad arrested a 27-year-old man on charges of being in possession of drugs, on December 19.
According to Warrant Officer Grant Giblin, spokesperson for the unit, members received information that dagga was being kept at a home in Van Riebeeck Road, Kempton Park.
“A thorough search of a white Volkswagen Polo parked on the premises was conducted and officers found eight wrapped bags of dagga,” he said.
“The confiscated product weighed between 70 and 80kg. The suspects’ vehicle was also impounded and investigations are continuing.”
