The new year has arrived and January means that it is almost time for the highly anticipated 22nd Beautiful Gardens of Benoni tour.
The tour, coordinated by the Rotary Anns of Benoni Van Ryn is taking place on January 28 and 29.
Seven gardens will form part of the showcase, taking ticket holders to various locations from Lakefield to North Villa, where visitors can roam in manicured gardens, scented with flourishing flowers.
The Rynfield home, owned by Luchan and Marianna Zeeli, will host the Anns’ ever-popular tea garden where freshly baked cakes and tarts will be available.
“Journey with us through some of the city’s jewels and enjoy cake while you marvel within some magnificent residential oases,” said Rhoda Toker, one of the event’s coordinators.
Funds raised through ticket sales and the Anns’ tea garden will be used to fund some of the organisation’s ongoing charity drives.
The two-day event is sponsored by Heckers Garden Centre as well as RE/MAX Dazzle Benoni.
