Hospice wants your pre-loved toys

Dust off your toy boxes and make a donation to the organisation’s upcoming fundraising initiative.

With a sprinkling of magic and tender-loving care, the anticipated Hospice East Rand Santa Toy Fair will be back this year.

Carol Simoni and the team of ‘elves’ are already hard at work, cleaning and restoring pre-loved toys, ensuring that donated items have been polished and darned, ready to be gifted to boys and girls across the city.

The fair will be in the organisation’s great hall on November 4. It aims at allowing parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to buy meticulously packed toys to adorn the Christmas tree at bargain prices.

The event further raises much-needed funds for Hospice palliative care programmes.

Relying on donations, Simoni appeals to the community to open their hearts and toy boxes by donating forgotten items or toys to this initiative.

They transform items to nearly new and promise to delight their little recipients while aiding the organisation in its work.
