WATCH: Become one of Santa’s little helpers with Santa Shoebox Project
You have until October 24 to pledge your box for the Santa Shoebox Project.
Pledging for this year’s Santa Shoebox Project is open and you now have the opportunity to reach out to one of 80 000 children this coming festive season.
Over the past 17 years, the NPO has distributed 1 152 587 personalised boxes to children throughout SA and Namibia.
Currently in its 18th year, the organisation hopes to extend its reach with members of the public pledging their support and a box to ‘Share the Love.’
Pledging for Johannesburg East is open until October 24, with drop-offs taking place from October 25.
Distribution of the boxes will kick off from November 1 to December 8. Get cracking, don’t delay, there is a special child in need of some festive cheer.
Each shoebox should contain a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, a washcloth, school supplies, a toy, sweets and an outfit of clothing – all new, unused and age-appropriate.
