Local fans get behind the Springboks as they prepare to defend the title of champions of the world.

‘Bokke gees’ is reaching fever-pitch with mere hours to go before the Rugby World Cup 2023 kicks off in France, on September 8.

The opening game at 21:15 will see the hosts clash with the All Blacks.

Springbok fans, get those braai fires ready and say a prayer to the load-shedding gods, as the defending champs, the mighty green and gold Springboks, are set to square off with Scotland on September 10 at 17:45.

As Bok fever gained momentum in the build-up to this highly anticipated clash of the sporting titans, the Benoni City Times captured some locals proudly showing that their blood is green! Go Bokke!
