Dan Triangle duo off to Japan

They will also train under KWF founder and chief instructor, 10th dan Mikio Yahara.

Christopher Thela and Stephanie Watt from the Dan Triangle Karate Club will compete in the Karatenomichi World Federation (KWF) world championship in Japan on October 14.

Trained by veteran instructor, Chris Anthony (seventh dan), Thela will compete in the masters division for kumite. He won the masters division in 2019 in Japan, where he also earned his KWF karate colours.

Watt will compete in the seniors kata section.

The duo will also train under KWF founder and chief instructor, 10th dan Mikio Yahara.
