Do you have a show-worthy garden?

Enter your garden to form part of the Beautiful Gardens of Benoni tour.

Have you heard a rustling in the bushes or perhaps muted gasps of awe emitting from behind your garden wall?

The Benoni Van Ryn Rotary Anns are sleuthing around the city, in search of seven gardens to form part of its 23rd Beautiful Gardens of Benoni tour.

The tour, which will take place on January 27 and 28, forms part of the club’s key annual fundraising efforts, which benefits various charity organisations under its care.

Nearly 1 000 tickets were sold during this year’s hugely successful event and the Anns are hoping to exceed previous records.

The garden tour is not a competition, entry is free and voluntary.

Garden entries will be viewed by the committee and the owners of the selected suburban oasis will be notified directly.

Whether your garden is big or small, features delicate flower beds or rustic rock gardens, a manicured landscape or off-the-wall hanging gardens, all variations of gardens are welcome.

Once selected, the fourth garden which will be at the heart of the route will serve as the event’s tea garden, where the Anns will be selling thirst-quenching beverages and delectable delights to state hunger pains.

For more information or to volunteer your garden in one of the city’s calendar events of the year, contact Cheryl Jennings, Benoni Van Ryn Rotary Anns on 083 555 6730.
