Conservationist gets an eco-halo

The chairperson of Korsman Conservancy was honoured for her work and dedication.

The chairperson of Korsman Conservancy, Jane Trembath, received the silver prize in the eco-angel category of the Eco-Logic Awards held in Cape Town on November 9.

Nominated by the conservancy committee, Trembath was honoured for her caring and nurturing actions, which have saved, conserved or restored the earth’s biodiversity, ecosystems and natural resources.

Paying tribute to the magnificent flamingos that made Korsman Bird Sanctuary their seasonal home, Trembath said the award is a testament to the committee and community’s efforts to preserve one of the city’s jewels.

When you sign up to be a conservancy member, you will contribute to their efforts in conserving the environment and enjoy exclusive benefits such as access to the bird hide and participating in preservation activities.
