Help learnes step into a brighter future with new shoes

“Our aim is to create a positive impact on the lives of these children."

The 100% Foundation is appealing to the community and businesses to help boost its 200 pairs of school shoes initiative for two local schools.

The organisation’s CSI project manager, Janap Biemba, explained this initiative aims to assist households that may be feeling the pinch due to the country’s economic situation.

“Our aim is to create a positive impact on the lives of these children. We believe that your contributions, whether from esteemed corporate entities or compassionate individuals, can make a significant difference,” said Biemba.

She explained that to streamline the donation process, the schools will provide a detailed list of children, including their gender and shoe sizes, who will benefit from the initiative.

“This ensures that your contribution directly benefits those in need, fostering a sense of comfort and confidence among the students.

“We encourage corporate companies to make a financial donation between R2 000 (10 pairs), R10 000 (50 pairs) and R20 000 (100 pairs).

“As a token of our gratitude, donors will receive an 18A tax receipt, thereby providing official acknowledgement of your invaluable support. Your commitment will not only provide essential school supplies but also contribute to the well-being and educational experience of these children,” she said.

Biemba added they will include the benefactors’ collaboration on their social media platforms and will also send photographs of the captured moments at the handover.

The deadline for the donations is January 31, with the handover scheduled for mid-February.

“Join us in making a lasting difference in the lives of these learners, ensuring they walk towards a brighter future with confidence and pride. Together, let’s take a step towards a more inclusive and supportive community. Collaborations for any of our projects this year are welcome as well.”

The shoes will be donated to Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School number two and Thophodi Primary School.
