Public invited to comment on renaming of public facilities
Public participation is encouraged to facilitate the process.

In its quest to redress the injustices of the past and build social cohesion, the City of Ekurhuleni is continuing to name and rename public facilities through participatory processes.
The city’s Department of Sport, Heritage, Recreation, Arts and Culture has been tasked to facilitate the public participation process.
According to metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, among the facilities that will be renamed after this process are roads historically named Kaffirboom Crescent in Kempton Park, Wagenaar Road in Edenvale and Harmonie Road in Bapsfontein.
Public participation meetings:
• Edenvale: Klopper Park Hall, February 17, at 10:00
• Bapsfontein: Elvira Rota village Hall, February 24, at 10:00
• Birchleigh: Coen Scholtz Recreation Centre, March 02, at 10:00
