Wag your tail and let out a howl, these beautiful animals are looking for their forever homes.

• Time is running out! Strap on your running shoes and get your tickets for the TAG Spayathon.

This in one of the animal welfare organisation’s major fundraising events with the 5km fun run/walk taking place on March 21, from 08:00 at Benoni Northerns.

Entry is R60 per human, pets free.

Gogo B is a five-year-old staffie-cross looking for a calm house where she will be pampered and taken for walkies. She is a gentle soul that would flourish as being an only dog.

• The Easter bunny is fluffing his tail and packing his basket to hide delicious chocolatey treats of young and old to eat.

Remember chocolate and all its milky goodness should not be shared with your yappy four-legged friend so here is a yummy recipe for crispy peanut butter biscuits for them to munch on.

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour

One large egg

One cup peanut butter

One cup water

Two tablespoons honey

Frosting:
Two tablespoons peanut butter

One tablespoon honey

1/3 cup cornstarch

Three to four tablespoons hot water.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden.

Once cooled hide it for your furry friend to find.

Yumi is an expressive older Chihuahua-cross. He is an excellent conversationalist who enjoys intellectual ‘pow-wows’ while having his head rubbed.

• Ensuring that all the animals in its care as well as those that form part of the TAG outreach programme are well fed, the organisation relays heavily on food donations.

Big or small, fluffy or not, the organisation feeds them all.

Tau is a five-month-old Burmese-cross who loves a good cuddle. Having ‘purr-fect’ pitch, he will serenade you with an appreciative low hum.
