iKhaya da Luz children enjoy action-packed fun day

Yolandi Palmer of Rain Baking also donated a delicious cake for the children.

Thanks to members of Connect Group at Connexions Church in Farramere, children from the iKhaya da Luz were all smiles recently as they enjoyed a series of interesting activities at The Parks Fresh Produce and Pizzeria.

The fun afternoon saw the children decorating their own chef hats, making pizzas, painting, playing with the horses and participating in an exciting Easter egg hunt.

They also went home with gift bags and a delicious cake sponsored by Yolandi Palmer of Rain Baking.
According to Kelly Honiball, they decided to reach out to the children’s haven and foster home after learning that it was in dire need of assistance.

“Our mission is to get the message out that there are neglected children who need love and support,” said Honiball.
Another member of the church, Nikita Olivier urged the public to assist the home with their time or resources.

Expressing gratitude, the founder of iKhaya da Luz Children’s Home, Ana Pinto le Roux thanked the group for opening their hearts to the children..

“Their time and effort towards putting together this wonderful afternoon means a lot to the children. They have created memories that are everlasting,” said le Roux.
