The Almond Tree now has a dedicated thrift shop

Jeany’s book shop has a wide assortment of books to satisfy every bibliophile’s literary needs.

Rays of sunshine bounce off luxurious couches, creating the perfect atmosphere to settle in and immerse yourself in a newly purchased novel.

Jeany’s Thrift and Book shop is the place to go when you are looking for quality pre-loved household items, clothes or a good book.

The store, situated at 96 Pretoria Road, Rynfield, opened its doors last year to raise funds for The Almond Tree Village (TAT), Cloverdene.

Since its inception in 2014, TAT has become home to vulnerable babies and children, offering them a haven in a loving and homely environment.

Today, the village consists of a baby home, permanent residential cluster homes, an early childhood development preschool and the Children of Promise independent primary school.

Anyone wanting to donate to Jeany’s shop may call 010 025 8900, alternatively pop in, browse the racks and take advantage of the bargain prices, as every purchase is an investment in a child’s future.

Opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 08:00 to 17:00 and Sunday from 08:00 to 15:00.

Note that this is a cashless facility.
