Dancers let loose at battles challenge

“The competition was well attended. We witnessed a moment of radiant energy."

Simphiwe ‘Spojow’ Zulu was crowned the king of the dancefloor after wowing the judges at the second Raw Battles Dance Challenge at Bester Park in Etwatwa recently.

The dancer impressed the judges with his “original dance style, lava-like flow and unique approach to music.
“He impressed dancers and non-dancers alike,” said event co-organiser Sifiso Zwane.

“In the future, we hope dancers will become the main stars and headline live performances at festivals. With his win, Spojow might have a part in this initiative in the future.”

“The competition was well attended. We witnessed a moment of radiant energy. It concluded with a showdown between the team of Ntokozo and Aytee Sandy and Spojow.

“In an electric exchange of skill, both displayed immense capabilities, impeccable musicality and an ability to let loose and enjoy the music,” added Zwane.

The event was organised by Zwane and Lebohang Moremammele.
