Atholl Murray has been appointed executive principal of St Francis College, effective October 1. He replaces Pieter Steyn, who relocated to the Western Cape. Murray comes into the role with over 20 years of experience, having begun his teaching at Parktown Boys High in 1999. His resume includes leadership stints at De La Salle Holy Cross College in Linden as headmaster, Dominican Convent School, St Davids Marista in Sandton as project manager and GM of the Acudeo group of schools and academic coordinator for all their campuses.
He comes into this role with innovative ideas, including embracing project-based learning, and a steadfast commitment to cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
