WATCH: Garlands line up for boot-scooting festivities

With a step and a cross, the club celebrated in honky-tonk style.

With some courage from the vineyard gods, members and guests at the last Garlands Ladies Luncheon Club meeting for 2024 clicked their heels into action to celebrate yet another year of fun, friendship and fellowship.

Tables flanked the outskirts of The Katse Room, at Ebotse, on November 21, to make room for boot-scooting line dancing, presented by Cheryl van Heerden of Golden Oldies Line Dancing and Heather Duffy of Sunliners Line Dancing.

Cheers and laughter erupted as friends took their seats talking enthusiastically about their festive plans.

“This year has come and gone, but looking at all our members and guests there is no denying that Garlands has enjoyed yet another fruitful year,” said Rhoda Toker.

“As we prepare to share in festive cheer with friends and family, we look forward to welcoming you as well as new members back as we prepare for another exceptional year.”

Following a decadent meal, the music was cranked up and ladies, dressed in their denim best, sashayed onto the dance floor for a monterey turn.

While co-ordination failed some, seasoned line dancing Garlands wowed with their flawless moves.
