CAXTON SCHOOLS | Pulsating action expected on day three of St Dunstan’s Easter Sports Fest
The opening ceremony takes place from 11:30 to 12:45 on the A field.
Reddam House Waterfall and St Dunstan’s netball teams go into the third day of the St Dunstan’s College Easter Sports Festival unbeaten and will look to continue their fight for the bragging rights when the competition resumes this morning.
Their pulsating 25-all draw in round three on April 17 sent a clear message that the fight for first position is between the two schools. As things stand, Reddam are in the lead with 210 points, with St Dunstan’s second on 199 points.

St Dunstan’s start day three with a fixture against Hillcrest while Reddam take on St Peter’s. The centre pass for both games is at 08:45.
The programme begins at 08:00 with Unity Secondary against St Francis, Benoni High seconds vs Hillcrest and Curro Salt Rock against Falcon.
After a full day of matches, Thomas More vs Hillcrest, Ashton Ballito against St Dunstan’s Falcon vs Jeppe will conclude the netball programme for the day.

Hockey
St Dominic’s are the clear favourites in the girls’ section. They are undefeated after three rounds and sit comfortably on nine points, having scored 28 goals while conceding zero.
The Boksburg school and Steyn City, also undefeated on nine points, lead the standings in pool B, while pool A leaders, Hellenic Academy, have a clean record, with 12 points after four games.
Steyn City and St Dominic’s will start matters with a bumper fixture at 07:45 at the Benoni High Astro, while Hellenic take on St Dunstan’s at 08:30.

The day will conclude with St Dunstan’s vs Jeppe at 19:50.
St Dunstan’s College is undefeated in the boys’ section. They top pool A with nine points after three games and have scored nine goals and haven’t conceded.
Beaulieu College and Reddam lead pools B and D, respectively, with seven points. They’ve won two and drew one, while CBC Boksburg lead pool C with six points after two wins and one loss.
St Dunstan’s will look to continue their good form when they take on St Peter’s at 14:15. Beaulieu College and CBC Zimbabwe start the day at 07:4, while Reddam take on St George’s at 10:55.

The fixtures continue until 19:40.
Rugby
After an eventful first day on April 17, where Hellenic Academy and Ashton Ballito scored over 60 points in their matches against St David’s seconds and St Dunstan’s, respectively, while Helpmekaar made a statement in their opening fixture, day two of the rugby programme promises to produce fireworks.

The Helpies Barbarians again headline this round with another exciting fixture against Lomagundi at 16:00, while Benoni High and Ashton Ballito also closing-off the programme on the B-filed at 16:00.
St John’s Harare and Springs Boy’s kick-off the programme at 07:45 on the A field, while Hillcrest takes on The Heritage School on the B-field, also at 08:00.
All fixtures will be paused from 11:30 until 12:45 for the official opening ceremony.
