Indoor cricketers to represent SA at world series

The tournament is scheduled for September 27 to October 4.

The Eastern Gauteng Indoor Cricket (EGIC), based at ISE Indoor Arena at the East Rand Mall, announced that seven of its players will represent SA at the Indoor Cricket World series in Sri Lanka later this year.

Christopher Elston, Adrian Ristow, Carl and Daniel Goosen, Nico Steyn and Dale Karg are part of the U22 national team while Reece Karg was included in the men’s open team.

“We would like to congratulate them on their performances and attitude towards the game. This is a great opportunity for our players to prove their abilities and skill at an international level,” said Ilanda Ristow of the EGIC.

She added, “Once again, this is a huge achievement for us as Eastern Gauteng Indoor Province. All the best gentleman with your upcoming tournament.”

The tournament is scheduled for September 27 to October 4 and nine teams, including Australia, New Zealand and England, are expected to participate.
