Stolen bike found in Brentwood Park

Members of the EMPD First Response Unit recovered a stolen motorbike on Stanley Road, Brentwood Park, on May 14.

Officers were conducting routine patrols in the area when they spotted a motorcyclist, with the rear registration number of his iron steed missing.

Attempts to bring the road user to a stop failed, with the motorcyclist fleeing the scene at high speeds.

Following a brief chase, the rider opted to jump from the moving bike, fleeing on foot and evading arrest.

Further investigations found that the motorcycle had been reported as stolen.
