The Total Game Mastery FC (TGMFC) U13 team was selected to represent SA in the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden, from July 13 to 19.

Coached by Shane Campbell, the club has trained tirelessly on and off the field to prepare for this tournament, known as The World Youth Cup.

“We’ve trained hard for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The boys are excited to represent their hometown, province and country with pride and determination,” said Campbell.

The coach has appealed for financial help from the community to assist his players in realising their dream of competing in the 50-year-old tournament.

Some current and former professional footballers who participated in the competition are Andrea Pirlo, Emmanuel Adebayor, Zlatan Ibrahimović and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dèjan Kulusevski.
