#Comrades2025: Daveyton Hearts shine in down run

Loyiso Nebe was the club’s first male athlete at the finish, while Limpho Nkotsi was the first lady.

The Daveyton Hearts PRO Rebone Malapane congratulated the club’s athletes who participated in the 98th Comrades Marathon on June 8.

The club had 10 starters but eight finished the race, earning the club one Robert Mtshali, five bronze and two Vic Clapham medals.

Loyiso Nebe was the club’s first athlete at the finish. He clocked 09:47:10 for a Robert Mtshali medal, while Norman Msimango and Sabelo Sam grabbed a bronze each.

Limpho Nkotsi finished the race in 10:56:07.

“A huge congratulations to our members for their impressive performance. Bringing home eight medals out of 10 is a remarkable achievement, especially considering that eight members finished the race. Well done to all the athletes who participated,” said Malapane.

The club will host the Daveyton Street Mile at Sinaba Stadium on August 31.
