More Rand Water maintenance ahead

The City of Ekurhuleni has announced that Rand Water will be carrying out maintenance at Zwartkoppies pump station from 05:00 on June 30 to 07:00 on July 2.

Affected areas arears in Benoni: Airfield, Northmead, Farrarmere, Farrarmere Gardens, Goedeburg, North Villa, Rynfield, Brentwood Park, Part of Morehill, Ebotse Estate, Benoni North agricultural holdings, Kleinfontein, Lakefield, Benoni Western Extension, Benoni CBD,

Actonville, Wattville, Tamboville, Msholozi and Emandleni informal settlements, Mackenzie Park, Dewalt Hattingh Park, Rynsoord and New Modder.

Water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas to provide temporary relief. Full restoration of water supply may take up to seven days after completion of the maintenance. High-lying areas and those receiving supply from pumping systems may take longer to recover.

Residents and businesses are advised to make the necessary preparations to minimise inconvenience during this period.
