Local chesa nyama donates uniforms to primary learners
Venda Brothers Chesanyama and a former learner helped bring smiles to underprivileged learners at Benoni West Primary School.
Members of Venda Brothers Chesanyama on Voortrekker Road recently visited Benoni West Primary School to donate 23 school uniforms to underprivileged learners.
Constable Sister Ramushu, a semi-finalist in the Mrs Curve SA pageant and a former learner of the school, supported the initiative.
Shumani Munzha from Venda Brothers mentioned that their awareness of the daily challenges faced by learners without proper uniforms inspired the donation.
“We realise there are children who attend school without uniforms or in torn clothing. Our goal is to promote unity and dignity so every child can feel equal,” she said.

The donation included shirts, trousers and socks for the boys. The girls received tunics and socks.
In addition, the school topped up the donation with school bags to accompany the new uniforms.
Ramushu, moved by the gesture, reflected on her own experiences at the school.
“As someone who once walked these corridors, I know how difficult it is to go to school with just two pairs of socks that must last five days. What they did today touched my heart. This donation will truly make a difference in the lives of these children,” she said.
The school also appreciated the support.
