Prepare for planned water interruption

The maintenance is expected to start at 08:00 on December 13.

Benoni residents are urged to make the necessary preparations for an eight-hour water supply interruption on December 13.

The outage is due to planned maintenance on the Rand Water bulk supply infrastructure. Taps are expected to run dry from 08:00 to 16:00.

Affected areas include:

• Wattville, Actonville, Apex and Mackenzie Park;
• Benoni CBD;
• Lakefield and Westdene;
• Northmead water towers;
• Farrarmere and Northmead;
• Brentwood Park and Goedeburg;
• Morehill, Rynfield, Rynfield AH, Eboste and Crystal Park;
• Chief Albert Luthuli, Daveyton, Mayfield and Etwatwa.

The CoE will deploy water tankers to the affected areas.

Water supply to all areas will happen once the system has fully recovered.
