Lake Club Benoni dominate Ekurhuleni Ladies’ League

They won the Sunday A Division and the Tuesday A Division titles.

The Lake Club Benoni delivered a sensational season on the fairways after the ladies swung their way to two Ekurhuleni Ladies League titles.

The club clinched the Sunday A Division title, with the team led by Lake Club Benoni ladies’ captain Heidi Charnock, and the Tuesday A Division, with the team captained by Cathy Ablett.

The club’s success didn’t stop at the top divisions. They also secured impressive runner-up finishes in the Tuesday and Sunday B Divisions, showcasing the depth of talent, commitment and competitive spirit in the ladies’ section.
“We have had an unbelievable ladies‘ golf year,” said Charnock.

“Winning the two leagues and placing runners-up in both B Divisions is a testament to the unbelievable talent and committed ladies, who put nothing but their best foot forward. I am privileged to have led these teams this year with the support of my league captains, Cathy Ablett, Hilde Meyer and Carol Allers.”

Charnock said these achievements were the result of the ladies’ “great camaraderie and a remarkable dedication to getting the job done”.

“With team spirit at an all-time high and momentum firmly on their side, Lake Club Benoni looks ahead with optimism and excitement.

“Here’s to another outstanding league year ahead, full of skill, spirit and even more success.“
