The 2026 academic year kicks off on January 14, and that means thousands of Grade One learners will be stepping into ‘big school’.

The Benoni City Times wants to share this milestone moment with our readers.

Parents are invited to send a photo of their little one’s first day to us by no later than 12:00 on January 16. Email [email protected] using “Grade One” in the subject line.

Photos must be sent as attachments in JPEG format and include your child’s full name, age, school, and what they look forward to learning in primary school.

Be sure to include the parent/caregiver’s full name and contact number, too.

For privacy protection reasons, ensure that submitted photos do not feature faces of other children in the background or anyone you did not gain permission to photograph.
