Anyone who saw or heard anything that could assist the investigation is urged to contact their nearest police station.
The search continues for the boy (10) kidnapped outside Lee Rand Primary School on Woburn Avenue three days ago, who has still not been found.
It is alleged that the boy had just been dropped off on the morning of January 27 when the kidnappers grabbed him and sped off. The police confirm that investigations are ongoing.
Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi previously told the Benoni City Times that authorities would not release further details at this stage.
“We do not comment on active kidnappings for the safety of the victim,” she said.
The Benoni City Times visited the school shortly after 11:00 on the day of the incident. A tense atmosphere hung over the premises. Several visibly shaken staff members watched from behind locked security gates while detectives remained stationed outside.
