Charity bowls challenge raises funds for community projects
24 teams of 4 members were active trying to help raise funds at the Charity Bowls Challenge
A charity bowls challenge, held by the Rotary Club and Rotary Anns Club of Benoni Aurora at Northmead Bowling Club, has raised funds that will be directed towards community development projects.
The event brought together 24 teams of four players for a day of friendly competition while supporting charitable initiatives within the community.
Participants from different age groups, including experienced bowlers and first-time players, took part in the event, highlighting the focus on community involvement.
Family members and supporters also attended throughout the day.
Funds raised through team participation and raffle ticket sales will be used to support both Rotary clubs’ community-based projects aimed at assisting local residents.
In addition to the sporting activities, participants were served refreshments on arrival and lunch during the event, creating an opportunity for community members to interact while contributing to a charitable cause.
Organisers hope the annual event will continue encouraging residents to support fundraising initiatives that benefit local communities while promoting participation in sport and community engagement.
