Suspended EMPD acting chief Julius Mkhwanazi, suspended head of legal services at City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) Advocate Kemi Behari, former CoE city manager Imogen Mashazi, and the metro’s suspended HR head, Linda Gqxasheka, are in the dock at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court following their arrests as part of an ongoing corruption investigation.

The four were arrested by the SAPS Commission’s Recommendations Task Team and are making their first appearance before the court.

Mkhwanazi is already out on bail in a separate corruption case before the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court, where he and his co-accused, City of Ekurhuleni city manager Kagiso Lerutla, are due back in court on July 16.
