Seven people were arrested during a high-density operation within the Benoni Police Station’s precinct on August 6 and 7.
The operation, led by acting station commander Colonel Reginah Rampota, is geared towards ensuring increasing police visibility on the streets and acting proactively in the fight against crime.
During the blitz, arrests were made on charges of being in possession of drugs, dealing of drugs, contravention of the Liquor Act and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Suspects will be appearing in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
