BFS crime in brief

Investigations into all cases are continuing

Weekend operations conducted by members to the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) led to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery of three vehicles from August 18 to 21.

Recovered stolen vehicles
On August 21, at 08:15, members followed up information received from a tracking company that a white Toyota Hilux, which had been reported as hijacked in Springs, was located in Chauke Street, Tsakane.

While on the scene, members received further information that another vehicle that was reported as stolen in Mooinooi, North West was nearby.

A 30-year-old man was found in possession of the white Range Rover Evoque in Extension 15.

Arrest
A 21-year-old suspect sought in connection with a case of theft and fraud in Sasolburg, was traced and arrested in Kakao Street, Mphomolong, Tembisa.

Possession of drugs
Two suspects were arrested on charges of being in possession of drugs, in Extension 12, Ivory Park and Khan Street, Actonville.

Mandrax was recovered.

Abandoned vehicle
An abandoned orange Haval was recovered at Rennie Road, Benoni. It was reported stolen in Crystal Park.
